The “Muxintang SPA” at Zhijin Hotel is located in Building No. 5 of the Zhijin Hotel. Situated at the eastern end of Shimengling in the Zongnan Mountains, in Lantian County at the northern foot of the Qinling Mountains, Tangyu Hot Spring boasts a long history dating back to the Han Dynasty and flourishing especially during the Tang Dynasty—serving as a royal bathing site throughout successive dynasties. In 1938, the Preparatory Committee of the Western Capital Institute under the Nationalist Government initiated construction projects in Tangyu. After the founding of New China, the first national symposium on hot spring development was held in Tangyu, attracting 124 renowned experts and professors, including the distinguished scholar Liu Guanghan. Following this conference, the nation’s first specialized monograph on mineral springs was published and distributed. Tangyu Hot Spring was subsequently hailed as “the Number One Hot Spring Under Heaven,” and the Shaanxi Provincial Government built the country’s very first sanatorium here. Located on the east side of Buildings 7 and 9, the swimming pool is divided into an adult pool and a children’s pool. The adult pool covers an area of 1,400 square meters with a water depth ranging from 1.4 to 1.7 meters, while the children’s pool covers an area of 400 square meters and has a water depth of 0.6 meters. The pool water temperature is around 26°C. The swimming pool features separate changing rooms and restrooms for men and women.
