On the evening of May 19, 2023, the Bijie Municipal Bureau of Culture, Radio and Television, and Tourism, together with the People's Government of Zhijin County, hosted a sub-event for the 2023 “May 19 China Tourism Day” at the Yeren Valley Square in Pingyuan Ancient Town, Zhijin. An Ding, member of the Standing Committee of the Zhijin County Party Committee and Vice County Mayor, attended the event and delivered a speech. Leading officials from the county’s Bureau of Culture, Radio and Television, and Tourism, as well as heads of A-level scenic areas, travel agencies, homestays, and other tourism-related enterprises, all participated in the event.

This event is themed “A Beautiful China, a Happy Journey.” At the event site, visitors are informed about Zhijin County in Bijie City’s history, culture, tourism resources, as well as knowledge on civilized and safe tourism through various methods, including setting up promotional trusses, distributing brochures, and providing on-site consultations.
During the event, Pingyuan Ancient Town was promoted as a demonstration project. Chen Kun, General Manager of Zijing Ancient City Cultural Tourism Development Co., Ltd. of Guizhou Province, took to the stage and delivered a speech: “Pingyuan Ancient Town will actively join Bijie City’s ‘One Big Chessboard for Tourism’ initiative, strengthening collaboration with neighboring scenic areas, enhancing service quality, and warmly welcoming visitors from all over. At the same time, we cordially invite tourists from across the country to come to Zijing—Pingyuan Ancient Town for leisure, tourism, and vacation, and enjoy a wonderful journey here.”
To better promote the natural scenery of Bijie’s various scenic spots, the event adopted an integrated approach featuring promotional videos, cultural performances, product exhibitions, interactive raffles, and distribution of benefits, thereby boosting tourists’ enthusiasm for attending and watching. At the same time, preferential policies for the tourism industry across the entire county for “China Tourism Day” were announced. After the tourist attractions and all tourism-related enterprises in Zhijin County launched a series of special offers, the event received unanimous acclaim from the local audience, bringing the China Tourism Day publicity campaign to a thrilling climax.
Through the implementation of this “May 19 China Tourism Day” promotional campaign, local residents and tourists from various regions have gained a deeper understanding of Bijie City’s distinctive cultural and tourism resources and scenic spots.
